Summer 2009 Update

This update is long overdue…the dojo has been closed for the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival. Normal classes will resume August 1. Prior to our hiatus, we had a Summer Student Gasshuku (Fri-Sun) July 17-19, 2009. We had a normal class Thursday evening, with an additional class Friday evening, to kick off the Gasshuku. This was followed by three classes on Saturday, and a final class on Sunday (many classes being 2+ hours long). We focused on review of the 10^th – 1^st Kyu Yoshinkan Aikido curriculum, with special emphasis on the application kamae. We also practiced Tanto So Ho and various aiki jo patterns.

Classes will resume 1 August, with the 9am Saturday morning class.

Monday 6:30 pm to 7:30pm Artisan’s Courtyard (on College Rd)

Thursday 6:00pm to 7:00pm Artisan’s Courtyard

Saturday 9:00am to 11:00 am Heart of the Dragon Tae Kwon Do Studio
