Late Summer Update…

Notice of Schedule Change….

The Artisan’s Courtyard was recently purchased and is now home the North Star Ballet. To accommodate all the classes taught at the Courtyard, the Aikido classes will have a slight schedule change:

Regular Monday classes will now be held on Fridays, at 6pm, beginning August 25 (so no Monday class on the 21st – enjoy the Solar Eclipse !!!). Classes will be Thursday (6pm), Friday (6pm) and Saturday (9:30am).
Come visit the free Ice Cream Social, on August 19, Noon until 3pm, at the courtyard -  look for our table.
Enjoy the rest of Summer!


At Shoryukan Dojo, all aikidoka are welcome to come train in Yoshinkan Aikido – we train with the curriculum developed and promoted by Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo in Japan, as well with “buki-waza,” or aiki-based weapon movements.

UAF students and military personnel welcome

Shoryukan Dojo also trains in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido, and offers Iaido training and instruction through UAF’s Community and Technical College. Beginning August 31…UAF CTC Beginning Japanese Iaido and Swordsmanship class
